Hello and welcome back to my blog! To promote my film, I was responsible for creating an account on X. The account I created seemed to be doing well. It had 10 followers and some decent engagement for a newer account. I had one post, that being the trailer for my film. However, one day when I tried to log into the account, I noticed it was suspended! The trailer that I posted had fake blood at the end. Unfortunately the app flagged the post and removed my account for showing violence. 

I was upset about the account being taken down, but I knew I needed to make a new one. On the X app, I went through the steps of making a new account. I entered in a new name and made a new password. When I went to submit the information, I was met with a loading screen. After 10 minutes, the screen continued to be stuck on the loading screen. I was frustrated, but figured that it was due to me being connected to the school WiFi. 

Immediately when I got home, I went back onto the X app. I re-entered the same information, but I was met with the same loading screen. I was close to giving up, but decided to try to website. I got on safari, re-entered the information for the millionth time, and crossed my fingers. Thankfully, it went through and I had my new account. With the new account, I reposted the trailer. This time however, I made sure to remove the blood at the end. Hopefully my account can gain traction. This is Kyra signing off!

  Hello and welcome back to my blog. I just completed my first project and it was so much fun! Taking the time out to film and edit a commercial was hard work, but I enjoyed every bit of it. Through this project, I learned a lot about using different camera angles, editing techniques, and mise-en-scene. While I have made some improvements compared to my first day of AICE Media Studies, I still have a long way to go. My new project, a music video, will be two times longer and will require even more time and understanding of media techniques. With this music video, I hope to make major improvements and have even more fun.  As a dancer, a critical part of dancing is music. Whether the genre is tap, ballet, jazz, or hip-hop, alongside my dancing there is always music. To tell stories through my performance, I can't just use my body, I need something that speaks to people as well. Preparation Blog: Scoping the Place Out

Hello and welcome back to my blog! Last week I planned to visit oceanwalk mall. However, since I was not in the county, I decided to research on the safety of the abandoned mall. While this research proved to be very helpful, it couldn’t replace the real experience. So, now that I’m back from my trip, I decided to go check it out.  While, I could have waited for the weekend to visit the mall, I decided to go after school since it was a Monday. This is meant not many people would be around, since the mall is by Hollywood beach and people only tend be down there on the weekends. After my mom picked me up from school, we drove to oceanwalk mall. My mom parked a bit away from the actual mall, so I had to walk for a few minutes. With me I had my phone to use as a flashlight in case it was dark and to contact anybody in case of an emergency.
