Hello and welcome back to my blog. After a lot of thought and discussion on our exact vision of the film, we created our storyboard. Hope you enjoy it!
Hello and welcome back to my blog! Page One: The film starts with a teenage girl, named Hailey, being awoken by the sound of her blaring alarm clock. An eyeline match then cuts to a close up of the alarm clock. A title is placed above it before she hits snooze. Next, a close up of shows Hailey’s feet as she steps out of bed. She stretches to wake up before yelling out to her mom. When she hears no response, she decides to stumble into her bathroom to get ready. Page Two: Once in the bathroom, Hailey bends over into the sink to wash her face. A title is placed above her head. After washing her face, she examines in the mirror before leaving the bathroom. Using a tracking shot, the teen is followed out into the hallway where she calls out for her mother again. A title is placed on the closed bathroom door. Hailey then peers out into the hall using an over the shoulder shot. A title is shown on the wall beside her. A pan is used to show the empty living room, which prompts a f...
Hello and welcome back to my blog! My journey through this music video process has been an interesting one, but it is now coming to an end. However, we still had one last issue. Something was missing from our editing in our music video, but we weren't sure what it was. At first, I thought it was clip lengths. Maybe the scenes were too long and therefore making the video seem boring or uninteresting. When I rewatched the video, I realized it wasn't the length, but instead the editing. I brought this up to my group members and they agreed that we needed to add another editing technique to our video. After some deliberation, we decided to add a split screen at the beginning of the video. This split screen would allow us to show more of the getting ready process in an easy and eye-catching way. It also wouldn't add any extra time to the video. Now that the minor issues were resolved, it was time to review the video. While reviewing the video, I counted out all the mise en sce...
Hello and welcome back to my blog! This week I planned on continuing my filming process. The first thing I wanted to do was check out the filming location. I knew that the mall was abandoned, so I was concerned about getting inside and whether it was safe to go. However, this week I am away on a school trip hours away from the mall. This meant I wasn’t able to visit until I got back. So, before going to the mall, I decided to look for reviews from others who have. The first place I went to was my friend who lived in Hollywood. He told me that he visited the mall some time back and that it was safe structure wise. However, I was warned about homeless people in the building. This caused some safety concerns for me, as I didn’t want to run into anybody who could be potentially aggressive or violent while filming. I alerted my group about this concern and we all decided to avoid filming in any part of the mall that had someone present. The next thing I wanted to figu...
