Storyboard For My School PSA Commercial

Hello and welcome back to my blog!

Scene One:

The first scene will start with Mya opening up the door to the courtroom. She will introduce herself, welcome the viewer to the courtroom, and then go look for the rest of the members. The camera will pan around the room to fully view the scene. Finally, the camera will turn to Charlie and Kai. 


Scene Two:

The second scene will start with Charlie introducing himself. He would state his name and then, similar to a lawyer examining a witness, will ask Kai to introduce herself. After Kai says her name the camera will pan back to Mya who will go looking for the other members. 


Scene Three:

The third scene will jump cut to Joey asleep on a patio bench. Mya will walk into the frame and wake him up. Once awake he will introduce himself to the camera. 


Scene Four: 

The fourth scene will start with me and Marvin on a different bench. We will be in the middle of a conversation when Mya walks up to us and has us introduce ourselves. After we both introduce ourselves the camera will cut to the next scene


Scene Five:

The fourth scene will begin with an over-the-shoulder shot of Mya walking up to Sarah and Andres. They would be at a table in front of the cafeteria. Mya would say hi to them and then they would start their introductions


Scene Six: 

All the team members would gather in the jury box to shoot the final scene. We would all introduce ourselves as the Fort Lauderdale mock trial team. We might also put our hands up to form an L to represent our mascot. After this, the camera would cut to the gavel being banged, which would end our video session. Except for the first scene, all the others should average to be around 4-5 seconds.

An eyeline match then cuts to a close up of the alarm clock. A title is placed above it before she hits snooze. Next, a close up of shows Hailey’s feet as she steps out of bed. Small Set Backs

Hello and welcome back to my blog!  Just when everything seemed to be falling into place for our film project, a curveball was thrown our way. Andres, one of our group members and the persons whose house we are planned to use became sick. With his health as the top priority, we had to postpone filming at his house. With this unexpected setback, I didn’t want it to ruin our plans entirely. Instead, I saw it as an opportunity to regroup and replan. The first thing I wanted to do was make some changes to the storyboard. Instead of started off in the kitchen, I thought it would be better to start with some establishing shots of the house. This way, our viewers would be better eased into the plot. I also realized that our warped lamp and mis-colored plant scene were not going to be effective. I decided to test out editing it in my house, and found out that it wasn’t as easy as it seemed. When I tried to color the plant, parts of the background also became colored and it looked very bad....

Review Blog: The Final Touches

Hello and welcome back to my blog! My journey through this music video process has been an interesting one, but it is now coming to an end. However, we still had one last issue. Something was missing from our editing in our music video, but we weren't sure what it was.  At first, I thought it was clip lengths. Maybe the scenes were too long and therefore making the video seem boring or uninteresting. When I rewatched the video, I realized it wasn't the length, but instead the editing. I brought this up to my group members and they agreed that we needed to add another editing technique to our video. After some deliberation, we decided to add a split screen at the beginning of the video. This split screen would allow us to show more of the getting ready process in an easy and eye-catching way.
